Autumn Battlegrounds – Amtgard Polaris
Autumn Battlegrounds [ABG]: a Polaris Amtgard event coming to Tomah, WI, October 3rd through October 4th! Polaris’ premiere battlegame event is returning for its third year!
WHAT’S HAPPENING
On Friday, plan for practicing your battlegaming skills before Saturday. Dinner will be provided. When you check-in at gate,you will receive a wooden weapon checker as a favor! Make sure all your weapons measure up! There will also be space in the hotel ballroom for table games and socializing after dinner.
Saturday will showcase 3 battlegames that increase in complexity, giving players the chance to showcase and improve their tactics and skills. Full details on each battlegame, including rules and objectives, will be announced at a later date! Outside of fighting, spend time in the crafting area, organized by Gretchen, for sewing and other hands-on activities. Or bring some coin to spend at the merchant booths. Merchants to be announced at a later date.
Lunch and Main Feast will be the provided meals on Saturday, as we know most like to enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
PAYMENT & LODGING
Entry is $30 prepay or $35 at gate, and under 14’s are admitted free. Prepay will be available through Midwest Larp [ https://www.midwestlarp.com/store ] or PayPal [Amtgard Polaris ]. On-site payments at gate may be Paypal or Cash. Gate opens Friday at 4pm and Saturday at 9am.
A hotel block will be available to reserve at the Best Western closest to Recreation Park (91017 E. McCoy Blvd. Tomah, WI 54660 (608) 372-3211)).
On-site camping will also be permitted at Recreation Park (1625 Butts Ave, Tomah, WI 54660); contact Siveheart (Teresea James) if you are in need of a tent to borrow. In case of severe weather, campers will have the opportunity to move indoors.
