Area Community Theatre

Winner of Best Art Activities and Best Performance Venue

Since 1976, the ACT Theatre has had a mission of promoting, encouraging, and increasing the community’s knowledge, appreciation for, and participation in the Arts. The theater brings together culture and community and is one of the best spaces to see the Arts in action in Tomah. Visitors can check the schedule for shows throughout the year, and purchase tickets for shows during their visit.

The Tomah-Sparta Speedway

A popular destination on Friday nights is the Tomah-Sparta Speedway. One of the oldest paved race tracks in Wisconsin, the speedway features action-packed evenings of racing and is home to some of the best Midwest touring series and kids’ events. A family friendly event, the speedway is a great place to visit with the kids and exists as a cherished Friday night tradition. Visitors can follow the racing season on the speedway’s Facebook page to see what events and races are scheduled each week.

Downtown Thursday Nights

Winner of Best Live Music/Concert Venue

A pop-up street concert series, Downtown Thursday Nights is presented by the Tomah Chamber and Visitors Center and features free admission, live music, food and drink vendors, beer booths, and a Kid Zone with face painting, caricatures, balloon animals, and bounce houses. The concert series runs the first three Thursday evenings of July and August from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, showcasing different bands each night.

Strike Zone

Strike Zone has activities for the whole family to enjoy! Strike Zone, which also houses Pizones full service restaurant, offers children’s games, bowling, a banquet room, a game room, a lounge, a pro shop, and a sports bar. There are also billiards tables, dart boards, and games for all patrons to enjoy, and often have weekly drawings and other specials.
